Wedding Coordinator

All love comes from God; and as such, the Sacrament of Marriage is, first and foremost, a sign
and symbol of this love. The mission of the St. James Wedding Coordinators is to support couples
as they embark on one of life’s most wonderful experiences. The Wedding Coordinator Chair
contacts the bride and groom to discuss their ceremony plans and confirm logistics for their
special day. Two Wedding Coordinators are then assigned to the couple. They will attend the
wedding rehearsal and be present one hour before and throughout the entire wedding. Wedding
Coordinators are prepared to assist with everything concerning the wedding ceremony at the
church, except for questions concerning the liturgy. Wedding Coordinators will place decorative
bows on pews, receive floral arrangements at the church and place them on the altar, pin
boutonnieres and corsages on the wedding party, direct the wedding party when to process down
the aisle and assist in maintaining an atmosphere of quiet reverence conducive to prayer. Outside
professional wedding coordinators are not necessary at the church.
