Welcome from the Principal

Welcome to Saint James Catholic School.

Welcome to Saint James Catholic School. We are proud of the Catholic spirituality and academic excellence that we have maintained for a 100 years since 1923. Our school is administered by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary from Immaculata, Pennsylvania who work with a dedicated faculty and staff to enrich the lives of our students within the Diocese of Arlington.

From the local community to the national level, our students are recognized for their outstanding achievements in academic, altruistic, artistic and athletic endeavors. We can boast of many academic awards, including participating in the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Talent Search.

Yes, we are competitive in the educational environment. However, we are unique because as a Catholic school we teach the whole child: spiritually, academically and morally. Students in our upper grades are the leaders of our school. Ask our eighth grade students, who will tell you they are thrilled they completed their Saint James experience through graduation.

Please visit our website for more detailed information: www.saintjamesschool.org or call the school office at 703-533-1182.  Kathleen Stirling will be happy to answer your questions and give you a tour of our wonderful school.

I encourage you to visit so you can really CATCH THE SPIRIT OF SAINT JAMES!

Prayerfully,

Sister Kathryn Teresa Clemmer, IHM
Principal
