Our Creation Care Ministry is piloting a new program called Produce Donation Days! They have donated 113 pounds as of July 31st to help feed those in need in our local community.
How is your garden doing? Whether you’ve had success growing tomatoes or basil from seedlings CCM shared with you in the spring, or your own garden is taking off, consider sharing your harvest with people who don’t have easy access to fresh produce. CCM typically donates to Food for Others in the Mosaic District of Falls Church.
They can accept squash, peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Beginning this week and continuing through the growing season, we are accepting donations of squash, peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes between 3:00pm-6:00pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
