Please join Saint James in welcoming our new Parochial Vicar, Father Tim Banach. He was recently ordained a priest on June 7, 2025, and will be serving his first assignment as a priest here at Saint James. Originally from Corning, New York, Fr. Tim moved to Arlington after graduating from the University of Virginia in 2016 with a degree in Systems Engineering. His home parish is St. Charles in Clarendon, where he worked as a consultant prior to entering the seminary. Although he enjoyed his work as a consultant and engineer, he was drawn to the diocesan priesthood, inspired by the vibrant life of the Church in the Arlington Diocese. He entered St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia in 2019, where he received his theological and pastoral formation to become a priest.
In addition to his priestly ministry, Fr. Tim is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys playing the mandolin. He is very excited to serve the people of Saint James parish!
