We all have friends and loved ones who we wish knew the joy of life with Jesus. But if you’re like most people, it can be difficult to know how to talk about your faith with others. Through our partnership with the Evangelical Catholic (EC), we’re happy to provide our parishioners with training for how to do just that.
The EC Reach More™ program provides participants with practical tools, real-world wisdom, and rhythms of prayer, community, and mission that help people grow in confidence to share their faith in natural, relational ways.

Saint James Catholic Church Lenten 10:10 Challenge 2026
Don’t Do Lent Alone. Join up with others!
How many times have you tried to pray more and read more Scripture for Lent…only to fall short of your goal?
Joining a small group gives you the supportive and encouraging community that can strengthen you during Lent.
The Evangelical Catholic’s Lenten 10:10 Challenge is a 10-week journey to help you grow closer to Christ through prayer, Scripture, and simple habits of discipleship, and to develop Christian community with your fellow travelers.
No training or special experience is needed. The 10:10 Challenge books are designed to be a one stop shop for either individuals meeting with their friends at home or for parish-led small groups, and contain easy-to-follow spiritual renewal practices including:
- A 1-hour weekly meet-up with your partner or group to review that week’s challenge, fully guided in The 10:10 Challenge book
- Daily prayers and reflections (the 10:10 Challenge asks for a daily prayer commitment of at least 15 minutes, if possible)
- Conversation guides for you and your partner or group
- Weekly videos connecting each practice to Lent or Easter
- A special Holy Week Companion to help you enter into the Passion of Jesus Christ
Saint James parishioners will be forming small groups you can join, or you can start a 10:10 Challenge with your friends – the choice is yours.
Anyone interested in starting the Challenge or joining a small group is invited to complete the below information collection form. A trained facilitator will be available to all groups for questions you may have throughout the program.
Lent groups will meet for a total of 12 weeks (introductory week, followed by the 10 weekly challenges, and ending with the Holy Week Companion), starting the week of February 22, 2026.
